Hey! I'm Jörg. A self taught, independent multidisciplinary designer from Mödling, Austria - a profession I’ve been working in since 2010. Before that, I was working in the fields of marketing @Diesel and @Sillam - both design heavy industries, which ultimately let me to where I am now.
Education-wise I have a background in Marketing & Sales (Bachelor) and in Blockchain and Crypto (Master). I never attended any design schools however - this was just something I was especially interested in and necessary, in order to be able to build the stuff that I wanted to build.
Thinking back to my childhood, in hinsight, it was abundently clear where this will go. I always loved drawing, photography, building lego or making music. In some sense, I’m now able to do part of it professionally. That I am very glad for. You can see some of my photography @AStrangersView and listen to some of the cheesy pop music I wrote @BenMallare and @KatharinaRose.
Besides that, I deep dived into crypto in 2017 and have been an advocat, trader & builder ever since. Hence, it didn’t take me long to launch something in this space. @TenBillionSatoshiHomepage however, sadly didn’t take off. Nevertheless I learned a lot, especially when it comes to marketing in Web3, which actually differs a lot in comparison to what I was accustomed to in traditional marketing.
Currently I’m building @WaresForWeirdos, a unique collection of hand illustrated designs that turnes crypto slang into wearables. Pins to start with, followed by caps and shirts. It somehow represents a poduct that combines all the skills I aquired in my 10+ years working in different fields of design, marketing and crypto. So keep an eye out for that.
In the past, I had the honor to work with clients like Ikea, d&b audiotechnik, Egger Getränke, Kapsch and Österreichische Fußball Bundesliga - this even won the Staatspreis Werbung for best digital communication. You can take a look at the project here: Schiriquiz. Many of those prospered into year long working relationships. Theres also a lot of smaller projects that I hold dear however - you can see the most recent ones in my portfolio.
Besides Idea Agency, I currently freelance as a webdesigner @Crafted. If you’re interested in learning something about webdesign and performance, you should definitely check out our @Blog - you may find something useful there.
If you want to take a look at my older stuff, check out @Foxs. An independet creative agency I co-foundend and still freelance at.
When I’m not doing any of the above, I like to play around with pixel art creation / animation in @Aseprite and C# in @Unity, a cross-platform game engine and development environment for creating 2D, 3D, AR, and VR games and experiences. With the rise of AIs like @Chatgpt which I use for creating unity scripts and code guidance / explanation in combination with @Midjourney for concept art, this has become pretty approachable, even for a noob like me :-)
Scary as it is, this might very well be the future - and the fall of Google. Let’s see. You heard it here first 😜.
Talking about scary - as you can see, my interests are all over the place. I’m no particular expert in any of the fields above. What I’m good at, at least from what I’ve been told, is seeing the bigger picture of an idea and contributing to it being launched within a foreseeable timeframe and budget. Ahhh and getting things done generally - as weird as that may sound - it’s not something that is just gonna happen by itself.
If that sounds interesting - I’m looking forward to hearing from you. Just write me or gimme a call.
